Komen Michigan announces new executive director
Komen Michigan (Komen MI) announced today Erica Bills will join the organization as its new Executive Director.
“Erica’s experience in nonprofit and fund development will be valuable in the continued success of our organization,” said Komen MI Board President Chuck Christmas. “We believe Erica will strengthen Komen MI and develop strategic partnerships with community members and organizations that help us eliminate the barriers preventing women from getting screened and treated for breast cancer.”
Working in the nonprofit sector for more than a decade, Bills brings experience in nonprofit leadership, fund development and strategic marketing to Komen MI. She also has a proven track record in developing strategic relationships with diverse groups of donors and increasing community partnerships. Bills was previously a board member for Komen MI.
“It is my number one priority to ensure all women have access to the life-saving resources provided through Komen MI,” said Bills. “I believe we have a very strong team who is committed to reducing the number of breast cancer deaths in Michigan, and together we will bring our programs to even more women in communities across the region.”
“Last year, Komen MI served over 85,000 women. I feel honored to have the opportunity to lead an organization that’s making such a positive impact in communities across Michigan,” said Bills. “As Executive Director, I am committed to identifying solutions that continue to save lives and eliminate barriers for access to screening and treatment.”
